Kista Science City: Tech Tuesday on Post-quantum resilience
The quantum computing revolution is brewing, with a global investment of $35.5 billion and counting. The promise is vast: simulating natural processes, solving complex problems, and pushing the boundaries of science and technology. Yet, this promise is checked by cybersecurity risks.
In this talk, we explain in plain terms why some of widely used encryption protocols are susceptible to an attack by a quantum computer, touching in brief the topic of quantum computing (QC) and its development, discuss possible protective measures and associated challenges, and present the RISE plan towards post-quantum resilience in Sweden.
