On September 16, 2023, the fourteenth edition of Kistaloppet will take place! Join us at our tent in Grönlandsparken, where you can create your own cheer sign, get a temporary tattoo, and participate in our competition to win a goodie box. We warm up from our rolling stage, and of course, you can take a picture of yourself on the winner's podium in front of our lovely photo wall after the race.
During Kistaloppet, over 3,000 children and adults gather to run through Kista, past Järvafältet’s green areas and the IT cluster with Ericsson and Kista Innovation Park. There are races for all ages and types of runners from 0 to 100 years old. All races are free to run, and everyone who completes the race gets a medal. It's a festive atmosphere with warm-up, entertainment along the course, cheerleaders, and lots of fun.
Who do you cheer for?
The Kloud is on site at Grönlandsparken, where the Kistaloppet MINI starts. In our tent, you can create your own cheer sign or flag to cheer on your friend, cousin, or grandpa. You can warm up in front of our rolling stage where we play music and have fun! Plus, you can get a temporary tattoo and take a picture at our nice photo wall with prize podium, where you can compete for goodie boxes. We'll be there all day, cheering on and supporting everyone who is running. If you get hungry, the restaurant Det Arroganta Svinet is open and serves authentic Texas BBQ a stone's throw away.
Movement for everyone
Kistaloppet was founded by five guys around Kista who started the Löparakademin, a non-profit organization that provides free training, workshops, and mentoring for young people. In connection with Kistaloppet's tenth anniversary, a new race started that is 500 metres long and for the very youngest participants. The Kistaloppet MINI is a great success. Half of everyone who runs Kistaloppet are children, and everyone who crosses the finish line gets a medal!
