The Kloud, Castellum, and Vakansa are the initiators of the newly opened The Kollective – the office collective that together uplifts each other, Kista, and Järva. A new space that can make Kista a hub between Järva and Stockholm. And attract a diversity of businesses.
On October 13, The Kollective in Kista opened the doors to its colorful premises. Here, you can find a circularly designed area with recycled material, studios/office rooms of 7-17 sqm for 1-6 people, a coworking area with touch-down spaces, community areas for events and collaborations, meeting rooms, and of course: cleaning, internet, and coffee.
We had a chat with the founder and CEO of Vakansa, Robin Alsalehi, who is pleased that The Kollective has finally opened its doors, but he also understands there is still a lot of work remaining.
What is your feeling, now when The Kollective is open?
I’m feeling great. Things are up and rolling, and I am excited to do my best in the space we have here. The opening ceremony was really good, and it was fun to meet a lot of interesting people.
How many are there in the office collective today?
It's us, some consultants, and the team from “We Listen In”, who are the winners of the competition where we gave away three months of free coworking space with us.
Are there any available places remaining?
Yes, there are! Moving forward, the focus is to fill up the office, in which we will continue to invest. Everyone who is curious about us is more than welcome to check out our space.
Last time we spoke, you were fixing up the place – are you happy with the result?
We renovated the office and have added everything needed in terms of decor, furniture and so on, but it is a work in progress where we are continuously improving the space. The office is very strategically located, and it has a beautiful ground floor which I believe more people should look at. We also have a wonderful courtyard to fix up, and the potential to create a tight community is huge. We want everyone at The Kollective to be part of building this community, something we are looking forward of watching grow.
What are you most proud of with The Kollective?
So far, it is the competition where the prize was three months of free coworking at The Kollective. There was a big interest with many participants in the competition, probably because there was a lot of organizations looking for available spaces. Now, we want to help as many businesses as possible, who might have a tighter budget, to get by and at the same time have a place to hang out – only then can I feel: "mission accomplished”.
”We Listen In” won three months of free coworking at The Kollective
The winner of the competition, where Vakansa gave away three months of free coworking space, was the non-profit association "We Listen In", whose purpose is to strengthen the well-being of women with foreign backgrounds in Sweden. This is what the association is saying after winning:
"We are very grateful to have been selected as winners. It means a lot to our organization, and we look forward to growing together with our amazing new partners Vakansa, Castellum, and The Kloud Kista. A big thank you for your support and for being part of our journey, we are honored to be able to make a difference together!"
In the Kista of the future, people, organizations, art, and science will have space to flourish. This initiative is a great example of how we together can make that possible. Welcome to The Kollective.
